The "SC" connector is a standard square connector, using engineering plastics, which has the advantages of high temperature resistance and not easy to oxidize. The optical interface on the transmission equipment side generally uses an SC connector. The Fiber Optic Coupler is a device for detachable (movable) connection between an optical fiber and an optical fiber.

There are three kinds of FC fiber optic adaptors, square type, single D type and double D type, all FC fiber optic adaptors are with metal housing, single mode FC Fiber optic adaptors are with zirconia sleeves, multi mode FC fiber optic adaptors are with bronze sleeves. All FC fiber optic adaptors are simplex.
